SheHacks: JWU Student on Winning Team in Boston Competition

JWU student Frances Mulligan '20 (pictured) was on the winning team for the most entrepreneurial hack in the first SheHacks Boston competition. The contest, which hosted over 1,000 participants, was designed to encourage young women pursuing education and careers in the technology industry. “Competing in SheHacks was a great opportunity to meet so many young women pursuing common goals in a field that is typically dominated by men,” said Mulligan. “As a software engineering major, I developed the confidence and skills necessary to step out of my comfort zone and participate in this innovative contest. We were thrilled to learn that our team will have the opportunity to present our concept to venture capitalists, with the possibility of receiving funding.”
