This October, in support of Domestic Violence Awareness, Human Resources & Payroll and is providing ways JWU departments, clubs and organizations can all band together as a community to get involved, show our support and make a difference in the lives of domestic violence survivors.
From October 1-31, HR is hosting a campuswide personal care product collection drive to benefit the Domestic Violence Program at Crossroads Rhode Island, a JWU student community service work-study site. Stop by Human Resources & Payroll (Wales Hall, 4th floor) to drop off personal care products throughout the month of October, or start your own collection. You can find a list of the specific personal care products Crossroads is requesting, as well as details and flyers for starting your own Purple Challenge collection drive, on HRpulse.
On Thursday, October 3, HR is asking the entire JWU community to wear purple, and join together promptly at 1:30pm in Pepsi Forum, Wales Hall, for a JWU group picture to help build awareness around domestic and sexual violence prevention.
For specific dates, times, and details, and to learn more about how you can get involved in keeping the JWU community educated and informed about stopping sexual and domestic violence before it begins, log in to HRpulse.
