For the fourth year in a row, Johnson & Wales University Athletics proved to be one of the best in NCAA Division III. The Wildcats finished the year ranked 84th out of 442 schools in the final Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup standings. JWU amassed 235 points to finish just behind Haverford and Saint John’s (MN). The Wildcats bested Misericordia, Gettysburg and Endicott.
Leading the way was the wrestling program whose third-place finish at the NCAA Championships earned 85 points. Women’s volleyball collected 65 points for making the third round of the NCAA Tournament while the first round victory from women’s lacrosse netted 50 more points.
