Professional Learning Community: Asset-Oriented Interactions

Once per term, the BRIDGE hosts a Professional Learning Community in which all JWU staff and faculty are invited to share and seek resources around specified topics. The spring term session, “Asset-Oriented Interactions,” will be co-facilitated by Nicole Hebert, director of Accessibility Services, and Mike Waugh, director of the BRIDGE. It will take place from 3:30-4:30pm on Wednesday, April 17, in the BRIDGE Center.

During this session, participants will take the true colors personality test and discuss how to frame colleagues’ different traits as assets instead of challenges. It will also explore how disability may play a role in how people respond to interactions. This session will highlight the universitywide outcome Living and Working Collaboratively. Please email Mike Waugh with questions or to register. All are welcome.
