Now in its fifth year, Taste of JWU—the signature event of Reunion—returns on April 27 and lets you sample bites from more than a dozen alumni chefs and their restaurants. JWU is especially excited to welcome back two alumni who recently competed on Bravo’s Top Chef Kentucky—Eric Adjepong ’10 and Adrienne Wright ’07.
“Taste of JWU, our most popular event of Reunion, brings together the entire JWU community,” says Liza Gentile ’18 MBA, manager of alumni relations. “Students, staff, faculty and especially the generous alumni who donate their time and delicious food make this a can’t-miss event.”
JWU students also play a role in the making of Taste of JWU. Students from the Culinary Nutrition Society will have a booth demoing what they do, and a handful of College of Culinary Arts students will work with the alums at their stations helping to prepare and serve their dishes, which range from a raw bar to duck, and pork to vegetarian. In addition, tent décor was designed by Sports, Entertainment, Event—Management students as part of a class project with Assistant Professor Elizabeth Panciera ’09, ’11 MBA.
This year’s Taste of JWU lineup includes many local restaurants that are alumni-owned or operated. If you have never dined at Gracie's, Hemenway's or Persimmon—now is your chance!
