New JWU Brand Style Guide and Updated Graphic Standards

Johnson & Wales University has been working with creative agency 160over90 on marketing and communications for our recruitment and enrollment efforts. Last spring, representatives from the agency visited campus and rolled out JWU’s new brand concept to faculty and staff universitywide. Since then, the new brand has come to life, including the JWU’s Admissions Viewbook, other recruitment materials, the website, and JWU banners around the perimeter of campus.

The 160over90 Style Guide for Johnson & Wales is now available for use by the JWU community, and JWU Graphic Standards has also been updated.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?

The 160over90 Style Guide, also known as the Admissions Brand Guide, provides a complete resource for the implementation of the Johnson & Wales University admissions brand. These guidelines describe essential elements, such as color, typography, art elements and design treatments of photos and text elements, along with clear instruction on how to use them. Art files of reproduction quality elements are also available for use in your communications. Adherence to these guidelines will help maintain consistency and recognition of our new JWU brand and amplify its impact.

The Admissions Brand Guide should be referenced only for all communications directed toward informing, recruiting, and maintaining prospective undergraduate, graduate and international students and their parents and families.

The pdf 160over90 Style Guide_2019.pdf is loose in the J drive folder. There is also a subfolder called Tools and Templates, containing subfolders with design elements, substitute fonts and InDesign templates.

JWU Graphic Standards provides a complete resource for the implementation of the Johnson & Wales University institutional brand. These guidelines describe the timeless and essential core elements of our brand, such as university color, typography, logos, design elements and templates, along with clear instruction on how to implement them. Art files such as the JWU logo and other reproduction quality elements are also available for immediate download for use in institutional communications.

NOTE: The files contained in JWU Graphic Standards folder for logos, graphics and templates have all been updated with the new JWU Blue (Pantone 2154). It is recommended that you delete older logos and template files (including PowerPoint) you may have stored on your workstation computer or laptop, and replace with the new file(s).
