Two members from creative agency 160over90 joined Marie Bernardo-Sousa, senior vice president of administration and enrollment management, and Doug Whiting, senior vice president of communications, to present the university’s new brand concept to faculty and staff universitywide. 160over90’s Sean Pezzulo, associate creative director, and Sam Reeb-Wilson, group account director, covered a breadth of information in their presentation, starting with the work completed in the discovery phase where the agency immersed themselves in JWU’s community and culture, and ending with mockups of the JWU Viewbook, accepted student packages, parent communications, and a video.
Throughout the session, the brand’s theme “JWU Works” was evident. Faculty and staff are welcome to start using this language when speaking with prospective students or in general about JWU. A few highlights:
- JWU works alongside students to help them turn their work ethic into a life.
- No matter where you are from or what your background is, you have the ability to work hard for what you want. And if you bring your work ethic to JWU, we will work hard with you.
- When you work, we work. At Johnson & Wales University, we inspire students to imagine more for themselves, and to work toward success. It’s what we’re good at. That’s how we know the value of effort – and when you work, so does your education.
