Earlier this month, 2 JWU faculty members and 1 staff member were recognized for their extensive work in the community: Eileen Medeiros, PhD, professor of English, College of Arts & Sciences; Kelly Faulkner, reference and instruction librarian, Library; and
TC Rogers, EdD, lecturer, College of Online Education.
They have spent the last 10 months working to relaunch the local magazine Options, a volunteer-driven print publication that is one of the largest LGBTQ+ non-profit organizations in Rhode Island. While Options has been a presence in the community for 36 years, it took a hiatus to reorganize, restructure and establish a new mission.
Thanks to the efforts of Rogers, Faulkner, Medeiros and others on the board, the magazine will continue to provide news, events and resources to the community for many years to come.
