Parente Named GNAC Men’s Golf Coach of the Year

For the second year in a row, JWU’s men's golf team captured the GNAC Championship as well as the league's top coaching honors. For the fourth time in his career, Lou Parente was named GNAC Men's Golf Coach of the Year. Prior to last season, Parente also won the Coach of the Year award in 2008 and 2009, after the first set of back-to-back conference championships.

Under Parente's direction, the Wildcats won the league championship, Oct. 13-14, by 13 strokes over UMass Dartmouth. Four players earned All-GNAC honors by placing in the top five. JWU earns the conference's automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Championships, May 14-17, in Nicholasville, KY.
