OneJWU Speaker Series: Evolution of Voting

Join educators and activists in the BRIDGE Center on Tuesday, October 16, from noon-1:30pm, to explore the evolution of voting rights in the U.S. and discuss the importance of voting in our community. Panelists will talk about their involvement in civic engagement and discuss how students can get involved in their community.

 Panelists include:

  • Jane Koster, president, League of Women Voters of RI

  • Nelson Guertin, associate professor, Humanities, College of Arts & Sciences

  • Julia Brown, political activist

  • Wilfredo Ortiz, president, JWU Student Government Association
