Head coach Ria Denny is excited to welcome in 11 new members of the Johnson & Wales University women's soccer team for the 2019-20 season.
Seven future Wildcats are from the state of Colorado, which Denny thinks will help grow the program's visibility throughout the Centennial State.
"I love our incoming freshman class. We have some great potential coming from within Colorado. This is actually the largest Colorado class coming to Johnson & Wales we've ever had," Denny said. "It'll build a great fan base because we have all those parents and players coming in from local clubs, so we can build some great relationships and bring more Colorado kids into JWU Denver."
The Wildcats will also return 11 members from last year's squad that finished 6-8-1, including first-team all-conference selection Natasha Martin and all-conference honorable mention Katelyn Peters.
"With the combination of returning players and new players, I really do anticipate us at least competing for second or third in the SCAC this year," Denny said.
