Coach Alicia Roth is proud to announce the addition of seven new members to the JWU Denver volleyball team for the upcoming 2019 season.
"This year's recruiting class is really going to help us round out this program," Roth said. "We brought in a lot more attackers this year, added some height – I think that 's really going to take us to the next level. We have a lot of kids from the local area, and that's been really cool for them to build relationships."
Five of the seven new Wildcats hail from the Centennial State – Emily Booth, Chelsey Carlisle, Serena Comer, Hope Hines and Sierra Martin – while Hunter Halbower comes from Connecticut and Elyse Swensen from neighboring Utah.
The newcomers will be joined by six returners as Roth gets set to begin her third season with the program.
"I think we brought in a lot of great kids, a lot of good athletes, and I think our upperclassmen are very excited to see the competition that will come in the gym from our freshmen," Roth said. "I think we'll be able to head into the year a little bit stronger, a little bit more well-rounded."
